Return to ideas box

The plan, as far as I'm crafting up is as follows:
A first draft as a type of notebook. Consider reviving "The Grounds" and just make it cohesive.
Second, applications of the grounds in a political context. -> How do the fundamentals of human nature and virtue fit into contemporary political archetypes; what falls into and what falls out. Do this for each, assess for pros and cons. Develop an approach for sorting political systems obtusely with archetypes, then more acutely with case-by-case anthropology (or find access to good sources for historical study). See if you can qualify something agreeable for "Good Practice"
3rd. See if you can infer "good practice" from human nature tenants.
The Grounds 2- like a revision aimed at politics.
Last: Novel form, demons, ships, adventure; Monist feel, bringing closer that we all battle different demons. Reaction? Fear or closeness. Aim for closeness. Tensions of trust and cooperation. And of course, acceptance and peace being THOV (So far!); quintessential component of love.
So far I like Felix, though he is too bitter and forced. I don't know why I started him off mid-way. im medias res as fuck. I like the new beginning better, but I gotta get it out so I can hate it and actually do a good one.

Possible Quaker, beginning narrative in a church, with a priest. The priest is a man of god, a good man himself, but knows much, including that god is not good. (though he believes in a god) it is his own good (the man's) that makes his actions good. The lies he spreads about the good of god for instance, are his own doing for the well being of the people.

The author is a pure consequentialist, so that he percieves the reader's interpretation as important to the story. Therefore, he will sacrifice his own pride in describing his own past ignorance, his own limits, no reason to pity himself, only direction and goal.

Edit,

Given that they are consistent, there exist no wrong philosophies. Only Good systems of though, and reductio ad absurdum proofs for the others.

Hot Dog

"The world is your oyster", So used to say Helen with her drooling teeth, shackled in her mouth, I'm sure they would escape that terrible place if they had the chance. What? With all that wisdom she would vomit out, I'm sure they were always living in fear of corrosion. She was my mother apparently, though I never witnessed my birth, so I took her word on the whole affair.

I couldn't shake it, the whole world was saturated with people, and they pursued not just pleasure, but each one the expression of it. Each one, as with a scratch, a swift walk, a quick read on the bus. They lactated pleasure, each one, and I was wandering through this harem, a whorehouse of human enjoyment on the street side. A fat man ate his hot dog. There was nothing ceremonious here. His chest was heaving, he sweat, and he looked elsewhere as he passively engulfed the thing. I wondered if it would make a difference if it were alive, what if it was a baby? One yelling and screaming, no, it wouldn't make a difference, he wasn't paying attention anyway. He shoved it in his mouth, masticating, getting it done, until completion and then exhaustion. No more hot dog. +1

Defense

A snail comes out of it's shell moments after it was harassed. Why? Because it must. A mind recluses in defense. Does it have a 'why' to push it out of its shell?
